Play Days: For the whole family, held at the 3Crosses/Ken Lance Arena
MAY 2 JUNE 13 JULY 11 AUGUST 8 SEPTEMBER 5
MAY 13 JUNE 27 JULY 25 AUGUST 22 SEPTEMBER 19
The AARC wants to draw new people in and bring back the ones who formerly were in the club. These playdays are open to all participants... anyone... any age. From Lead-line divisions to those 40 and up. If you want points to go to year-end saddle prizes, then you must be a member of the club. These play days are family oriented. Learn rodeo events like: barrels, poles, flags, stakes and rings. Learn riding skills, sportsmanship and have fun competitions. There is also a queen contest as a fundraiser to help with the year-end awards.
FROM THE A.A.R.C. NEWSLETTER:
"It's that time again! The days are getting longer and it's time to pull the horses out of the pasture, dust the cobwebs off the saddles and start riding!
This year, we have 2 new officers: JACKIE BROWN, President; and DAYNA BROWN, Secretary/Treasurer. We are so excited about the new ideas, and enthusiasm that these ladies are bringing to the playdays.
For the 2014 season, we are going to have the playdays on Friday evenings. The books will open at 6:00PM and the Grand Entry will be at 6:55PM. Our events will be: Flags, Barrels, Stakes, Poles, and Rings. To qualify for the year-end awards, you must compete in 70% of the playdays.
Our age divisions are:
BEGINNERS: 6 yrs and under
PEANUTS: 9yrs and under
PEE WEE: 10-13 yrs
JUNIORS: 14-18 yrs
SENIORS: 19-39 yrs
40 and Over.
Membership dues will be $25 for an individual, $40 for a family. Dues must be paid before points will count towards year-end awards. Entry fees will be $3 per even for lead line, $4 per event for members, $5 for Barrel exhibitions, and $5 per event for non-members. Birth certificates are required for Peanuts, Pee-Wees, and Juniors. A negative Coggins is required for all horses.
SADDLES will be awarded to YOUTH classes.
BUCKLES will be awarded to SENIORS class and up.
Please join us on Facebook (Ada Area Round-Up Club) for more information and events that will be happening throughout the summer. We hope that everyone comes and joins us this year for a fun-filled summer of riding and hanging-out with old friends and making lots of great memories!"
