4TH ANNUAL KEN LANCE MEMORIAL PRCA RODEO
PLANNING UNDERWAY

Planning and early preparations are under way for the 4th annual Ken Lance Memorial PRCA Rodeo. The PRCA sanctioned rodeo will be held June 7th and 8th at the 3-Crosses/Ken Lance Arena in Union Valley, Oklahoma. The rodeo will feature saddle broncs, bareback riding, team roping, steer wrestling, bull riding, tie down roping and women’s WPRA barrel racing as well as mutton busting and calf scramble for the local children who would like to compete.

The rodeo stock for the event will be provided by Frontier Rodeo Company based in Winnie, Texas and Freedom, Oklahoma. The company is managed by Heath Stewart and Don Gay. Don is an 8 time PRCA World Champion Bull rider and was inducted in the Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame, Colorado Springs, Colorado in 1993.

The entertainment for both nights will feature award winning Keith Isley, 8 times PRCA Specialty Act of the Year and 9 times Top Five Finalist “Clown of the Year”. Keith puts on a great show with his trick roping, riding and various animal routines.

The Glory Riders from Denison, TX will add to the pageantry with their white horse drill and trick riding team.

Rodeo announcer will be award winning Rich Kaye, local radio personality and talented rodeo announcer. He adds so much to the rodeo and his high energy delivery and rodeo knowledge will turn rodeo spectators into true rodeo fans.

All proceeds go to support the 3 Crosses Rodeo Bible Camp which will be held July 3rd through July 7th. The Bible camp is open to cowgirls and cowboys from 7th to 12th grades. The Youth Rodeo Bible Camp features hands-on training by pros in the rodeo world. They will receive proper training and technique as well as inspirational stories and instruction about living a successful life by God's leadership in their life.

Vendor booths will be available as well as rodeo program listings, rodeo banner sponsorships and live remote broadcasts. 3 Crosses/Ken Lance Arena is a non-profit organization. All gifts are tax deductible.

FACILITIES
3Crosses/Ken Lance Arena:
a complete rodeo arena for riding and roping events

• 6 Priefert bucking chutes
• *entirely-covered bleacher seating* for 4,000
• 2 concession stands
• a pavilion with a stage, lighting and room for 1,000 for events
• and a general purpose meeting hall for restrooms, meetings, and dining.

The 10 acres behind the arena include:

• horse stalls
• practice/warm-up arena
• room for parking and
• RV hookups.

All of the facilities are available for rental.
Have a roping event, a conference, a cowboy training clinic, a barrel race, rent for roping or riding practices, concerts in the arena/pavilion/meeting hall.
Horse stalls and RV hookups are only $25/night.

At 3-Crosses you can enjoy Horseback Riding, Petting Zoo, Learn to Rope and Play Rodeo Games, family fun days, horsemanship clinics, vet day, youth rodeos, concerts, bull riding on Monday nights, Cowboy Church right before the bullriding, and our annual PRCA Rodeo (1st Fri/Sat in June).

COWBOY CHURCH: The 3Crosses Cowboy Church meets MONDAYS @ 6:45 pm in the grandstands, right before bull riding at 7pm. Atmosphere is casual; come as you are. May - NOVEMBER or as special occasions permit. MONDAY NIGHT BULL RIDING: Monday nights at 7pm May - November or as weather permits. Free to watch, free to ride. Full concession stand is open. Pro RODEO ANNOUNCER Rich Kaye of KYKC is our announcer with score and music to enjoy the excitement. In over 4 hrs of bull riding, more than 80 bulls were bucked. What a night! YOUTH CAMP

Bulls, Barrels, Broncs, Roping + Horse Riding: July 3-7, 2013 $225.00 for 5 days, 4 nights. Classes for events like: Bull Riding, Roping, Barrels, Horseback riding, and more. Devotions each night... Swimming... Lots of great food and fun. Camp Sponsors and Instructors will lead our campers to know the Lord in a deeper way and enjoy the sport of rodeo in a Christian atmosphere. Champion Cowboys will be there in person. Youth Rodeo Bible Camp features hands-on training by pros in the rodeo world! You'll receive proper training and technique as well as inspirational stories and instruction about living a successful life by God's leadership in your life. For cowgirls AND cowboys 7th – 12th grades. Learn to ride bulls, and also timed events (roping and wrestling). Insurance is required. Several campers received the Lord and 2 of them got baptized. FORMS  TO  PRINT  FOR  CAMP: APPLICATION    Camper Application ENROLLMENT - PREPAY Here What to Bring / Camp Rules: SUPPLIES: Students need to bring bedding, toiletries, changes of clothes, rodeo supplies, horse and tack. We will go to the LaserZone (game and arcade center) at least once during the camp to bowl and play games. Students might need some spending money for that outing. Please bring a Bible, notebook and pen. If students have a cot or air mattress, it would be helpful to bring it. WHAT YOU'LL ENJOY: Each night there will be devotionals, bible studies, campfire prayer circles, and cowboy chapel. This is a Rodeo Bible Camp. Christian and Biblical principles will be taught at this camp. Cowboys will stay overnight at the Meeting Hall at 3Crosses Arena. Cowgirls will stay overnight at the Union Valley Baptist Church Youth Center. Adult supervision will be provided overnight. There will be at least one adult male supervising at the Meeting Hall, and one female adult supervising at the Youth Center overnight. Saturday will be a youth rodeo exhibition for friends and parents to enjoy. Camp concludes at Sunday afternoon at 2pm with an awards ceremony for the campers. Every Monday night at 7:00 P.M. from May - November we have bull riding right from our Priefert chutes. Our announcer is Rich Kaye who does an excellent job of providing music that will get your heart pumping, and color commentary that will keep you knowing the score and so much more! We have a full concession stand to keep you fed and watered. Plus the bleechers are fully covered. Restrooms are available. Bullriding is free to enter. Admission is free to watch.

We regret to announce that Naomi Wells, who took such great care of our concession stands at 3Crosses, passed away Thursday Feb 7th 11:30am.

We hope everyone will join us in consoling her son Jack Wells who keeps  our arena going. The two of them put their heart and soul into their work. They both had a fervor for serving that is rarely found. We love her and will miss her.
